It’s finally fall and football season again. Some of the biggest game days of the year are just around the corner. Are you ready? Check out some of our tailgating tips below to make sure you’re prepared for game day.

1.       Arrive Early: When going to tailgate, it is important to arrive at the stadium early. You will want to be able to find a good spot for you and your people and you will also want to make sure you have time to relax and enjoy your food and beverages before the game starts.

2.       Pack Everything: The most important part of tailgating, however, is probably packing. You don’t want to forget food, beverages or people. You will want to make a list of everything you need to bring like burgers, condiments, beverages, silverware, bottle openers, trash bags, paper towels, etc., and as you pack each thing, check it off the list.

3.       Stay Organized: The key to having everything you need is staying organized. Have a place for everything. It is a great idea to have a toolbox or other container with all of your tailgating essentials like utensils, dishes, trash bags and paper towels. Then you will want to have coolers for food and coolers for drinks labeled respectively. The process will go a lot smoother if you know where everything is.

4.       Show Your Spirit: Sometimes we can get overwhelmed by getting food and drinks ready that we forget about the all-important jerseys, hats, face paint and more. Don’t forget to show off your unique gear at the game.

5.       Have Fun: This one is pretty self-explanatory, but enjoy game day and enjoy supporting your team!
